National Commission of Telecommunications : La Comisión Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (CONATEL)
CONATEL is Venezuela's wired and wireless communication certification system.
It is compulsory to be registered with CONTATEL (Venezuela Telecommunications Agency) in order to export wired and wireless communication devices to Venezuela. Submission documents (Word files) can be downloaded from the website, and information on technical specifications, certificates of conformity, etc. must be included. Further on, manuals written in castellano language, device photos, laboratory information, etc. are also required. Local tests are not necessary, and reports and certificates issued by organizations recognized by CONATEL are accepted. Organizations CONATEL recognizes include FCC, ANATEL, COFETEL, and CNC. CONATEL does not issue a separate certificate, and uploads a list of approved products on its website.
