CONATEL
CONATEL is Paraguay's wired/wireless communication certification system. When exporting wired and wireless communication devices such as mobile phones and PSTN connection devices to Paraguay, type approval must be obtained from CONATEL (Comision Nacional de Telecomunicaciones), Paraguay's telecommunications agency. When applying, a local representative (Paraguay local corporation) is required, and all submitted documents must be submitted in original. In addition, the signatures of the applicant and technical manager are required on all submissions. After submitting the application and required documents to CONATEL, approval is completed after reviewing the documents. Test reports and certificates from internationally accredited testing laboratories, including FCC, are recognized.
