Telecommunications Authority Suriname (TAS)
TAS is Suriname's wireless communication and electronic equipment certification system. Under the Telecommunications Act of Suriname, all radio and electronic equipment serviced or sold into Suriname must be type-approved. After the applicant submits the application document and reports to TAS and the documents are carefully reviewed by TAS, type approval will be issued. Documents to be submitted are DOC (Declaration of Conformity) issued in conformity with ISO/IEC 17050-1:2004, EMC report, RF report, etc., and reports issued by an internationally recognized testing agency such as FCC or ETSI are also recognized. The cost is USD 100 per model, and approval takes about 4 weeks.
