INDOTEL
Dominican Institute of Telecommunications : Instituto Dominicano de las Telecomunicaciones (INDOTEL)

INDOTEL is Dominica's wired and wireless communication certification system. In order to give permission for selling all wired and wireless communication devices in the Dominican Republic, it has to obtain device approval from INDOTEL. In order to obtain a Certificate of Approval (Certificado de homologación de equipos), required documents such as application, technical documents, and reports must be submitted to INDOTEL; after thoroughly reviewing the documents, INDOTEL will issue a certificate. Dominican Republic also recognizes international technical standards, so if an international certificate from the US or Canada is obtained, it is not necessary to obtain a product approval from INDOTEL.
