Indonesian National Standard (SNI)
Created by BSN, a technical committee, SNI is a national standard applied only to Indonesia. Electrical safety products imported into Indonesia must be certified/approved by SNI. From the following relevant institution, an importer who has been issued a standard certificate must record the standard certificate number, inspection certificate number and the name of the importer on the product before distribution. Even though it is not a compulsory standard, obtaining the SNI certification is advantageous when promoting transactions, and if an international certification such as ISO or CE is obtained, they are recognized as an alternative authentication effect.
