RCM
Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM)

Managed by the Electrical Regulatory Authorities Council (ERAC), the RCM certification for electromagnetic waves, wireless communication and electrical safety equipment is valid in both Australia and New Zealand. United into RCM from 1st March 2013, it became obliged from 1st March 2016. It proceeds in the form of granting permission for the use of the mark Supervised by Regulatory Compliance Mark Standards Australia.


Conformity tests for product standards are the responsibility of manufacturers, and they each apply for a permission to use the mark from Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) and Standards Australia; Afterwards, the conformance test is conducted on the applied product and marking is self performed.

Target Product:
All electrical and electronic products shipped to the Australian and New Zealand markets; products with a rating of 50V AC RMS or 120V ripple-free DC or higher, products using a rating of 1000V AC RMS or 1500V ripple-free DC
