National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA)

NTRA is Egypt's wired and wireless communication certification system.

Under Egypt Law Law No. 10 Telecom, 2003, all wired and wireless communication devices and Radio and telecommunication terminal equipment imported to Egypt are required to go through the compulsory communication certification system. Imported wired and wireless devices are monitored and allow custom clearance of the product only if it is suitable for custom clearance. When an application document is submitted, a certificate is issued after NTRA reviews the documents. The product must have an FCC or CE mark attached, and there must be evidence of the overall technical testing of the product.

Documents for application:

Model type application, import/manufacturing permit issued by NTRA, original catalog of the model, technical documentation about the device, test report for Safety, Telecom, EMC issued by manufacturer DoC or designated testing laboratory, certificate of origin, type approval fee, etc. For terminal equipment, 2 samples are required.
