Agence de régulation des télécommunications (ART)
ART is Cameroon’s wireless communication facilities and telecommunication terminal certification. Based on ARRETE N 00000013/MINPOSTEL DU 27 JUIN 2012, Cameroon operates a compulsory type approval system for all wireless communication facilities and all electronic communication terminals connected to public electronic communication networks.
- Certification process:
① Applicant submits all files including technical and administrative documents including proof of fee payment to ART
② ART checks the certification application documents and sends a confirmation certificate
③ ART will reply to the applicant within 90 days for one of the following: Certification certificate (valid for 3 years) / request for additional documents / refusal (provide reasoning)
④ Applicant pays other fees (label, approval)
⑤ Applicant attaches labels to each part and sells them
- Sample requirements: 3 terminal samples for approval application
