ARPTC
Authority for the Regulation of the Posts and Telecommunications of Congo (ARPTC)

ARPTC is Democratic Republic of Congo’s telecom certification system. All terminal equipment or radio installations that directly or indirectly connect to devices through telecommunication networks and transmit, receive or process telecommunication signals are compulsory to obtain type approval according to ARPTC.

Application procedure:

1) Importer apply for approval by mail to ARPTC
2) Importer provides application documents including the proof of the fee payment
3) ARPTC reviews application documents and sends application confirmation
4) ARPTC Issues approval of certification
- ARPTC decides whether to approve or reject within 2 months
- The certificate is valid for 10 years
5) Importer attach the label to each product

Documents for application:

Application form, Trade register number and National Identification Number, equipment trade name, model name, technical specification, technical documentation describing interfaces and functions, etc.
Test reports from designated testing laboratories in accordance with international standards such as FCC, ETSI, and CE are accepted, and additional test samples would be required.

Target Products:
Any terminal equipment or wireless installation that directly or indirectly connects to devices in a telecommunications network and transmits, receives, or processes communication signals.
