Specification update: old version GB4943.1-2011 and GB 8898-2011 standard replaced by new standard GB4943.1-2022

CQC standard update notice: September 26, 2022
1. From the date of this notice until July 31, 2023, customers can choose to apply for the old standard version or the new standard version; from August 1, 2023, it is compulsory to apply and issue a certificate with the new standard version.
2. Previously Approved products from August 01, 2023, must be updated until the first regular factory audit date. Products with the old version approval must be updated until July 31, 2024, otherwise the approval will be suspended. Approvals which are not updated by October 31, 2024 will be revoked.
3. Products that have already been shipped and sold on the market before August 1, 2023 and are no longer in production are not required for updates.
- Required schedule:
After the acknowledgement of the Submission of new certification IEC62368 - with proceeding with CQC certification, It takes about 3 to 4 weeks for the 2018 version
Due to this update, many of the customers are making updates, resulting in a slight delay for the test lab's schedule. For the 2014 version, it takes at least 4 weeks.

Application for standard update for products that have already been approved as GB4943 / GB8898 is the same as the change application process, so the approval number does not change.
SMPS self-certification is CQC self-certification, so the marking is unchanged.
- Product application
The structure of the previous approved product has been evaluated by IT GB4943 / AV GB8898, however due to the standard update, the product is evaluated by IEC62368-2018 = GB4943.1-2022 (there are differences) and is necessary to satisfy the requirements.
- During update
Already acquired products must be IEC 60950/ IEC 60065 recognized to proceed.
1) If there is no new IEC62368 when updating, it will proceed with a direct standard update.

2) When updating, submit IEC 62368-2014 or IEC 62368-2018 to proceed with standard update
- new CB recognized + supplementary test items
Notification:
Self-certification can only be updated with SAFETY, and also EMC standard updates are also currently in progress.
IT - EMC standard updated by submitting a self-declaration without the need for a test.
AV - EMC compliance updates must be tested by sending samples.
- Since battery products have been compulsory certification in the voluntary certification, if a battery is installed in the product, the battery requires submission of CCC approval.
- Certification body / testing laboratory
WIthout any change in the certification body, they can still issue an approval letter from CQC, and can switch to other certification bodies and laboratories.
Certification bodies can still issue accreditation from CQC, and can switch to other certification bodies and laboratories. All tests are possible in the test scope and test laboratories designated by the certification body.
