Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization. (SASO)

From 1st January of 2019, as the SASO SALEEM SABER Product Safety Program was implemented, it gradually replaced the existing Saudi Arabian CoC program. According to the introduction of the newly established integrated certification system ‘SABER’, all products manufactured or brought into Saudi Arabia will go through product registration (conformity assessment) and shipment through ‘SABER’. Importers of regulated products by the TR must register products through the SABER system; after passing the conformity assessment, certification of conformity will be obtained.

Based on the provided HS CODE and product category, the risk level of the product is assigned by the SABER system, and items that are not regulated by Saudi Arabia's technical regulations are classified as low-risk.

Target Product:
- All products distributed in Saudi Arabia (Saudi homegrown products + imported products)
- 45 types of technical regulations (43 types of Saudi Arabia + 2 types of GSO)
CITC
Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC)

All communication devices imported and sold in Saudi Arabia must be reviewed and certified by CITC Saudi Arabia.
