Ministry of communications MOC is Kuwait’s wired and wireless communication certification system.
Under the law of Amiri Decree NO. 8 of 1959, MOC operated a compulsory communication type approval system for all wired and wireless communication along with Radio and Tele-communication Terminal equipment.
Qualifications for applicants are manufacturer or exporters in exporting countries; reports issued by designated testing laboratories such as ILAC and FCC are accepted. The procedure for type approval is as follows:
1) Submit all application documents to MOC through a local agent
2) MOC will review and evaluate all documents
3) If submitted documents are suitable, MOC issues the Type Approval Certificate.
Application documents:
Application form (local importer information must also be included), manufacturer declaration, test report, specification and operation manual, bill of materials, circuit diagram and block diagram, label, product exterior and interior photos, user manual, etc.
Target Products:
Wired and wireless telephones, fax machines, fax switch boards, radios, computers, modems, mobile phones, and other wireless communication equipment
