PCN visited the Executive Cluster Manager of CSIR Manufacturing Cluster from South Africa alongside with the Marketing Director of SABS (South African Bureau of Standards) to have a meeting for the collaboration related to the E-Mobility industry. CSIR is well known for their contribution to South Africa’s industrial and scientific development through their diverse research and innovative technologies.
The discussion highlights the encounterment of possible problems of charging infrastructures and the Electric vehicle subsidy issues from the national perspective when introducing E-Mobility to South Africa, which is currently at the stage of introducing the E-Mobility industry, and how South Korea can support and help find the solutions.
Additionally they have also discussed Korea’s Electric Vehicle manufacturing strategies, current status of the vehicle battery supplies and charging systems for the African market. Through this process, it has shown the possibility of collaboration with the role of PCN, alongside with Korean Universities and technology companies.
With this meeting, PCN provided proactive consultation to the South African government, universities and industries the strategies Korea used to overcome their problems when first introduced to the E-Mobility industry. Further on, PCN is convinced that this contribution enables South Africa’s industry to leap into a better situation and environment.
