SIRIM
SIRIM is a system which manufacturers/importers check and certify if their product meets the technical standard set by Malaysia through a third-party certification body. Most of the products are voluntarily certified, but for some products regulated by the government are compulsorily needed for certification. Target Products: Razor, Food Mixer/Mixer (Kitchen Appliance), Immersion/Water Heater, Fan, TV, Toaster/Oven, Vacuum Cleaner, Video player, washing machine, refrigerator, Rice cooker, domestic power tool (portable), etc.
SIRIM
According to Malaysian Regulations (14), Telecommunications and Multimedia Act (CMA), Part III of 1998, all products with wireless or wireline communication technology must be approved/certified by the SIRIM Authority prior to import, customs clearance and sale. Target items : Mobile phone, single line phone, fax machine, ADSL modem, network facilities (C-Band satellite antenna, LNA/LNB/LNC, transmitter)
